It was a very close first 25 mins. Celtic came close to scoring a number of times, while Knocklyon Utd did pose problems from the corners, but Celtic's defence held firm.

James Bannerman broke the deadlock just before halftime when Pedro Moreno slotted a beautiful splitting pass through the Knocklyon defence. James took one touch, steadied and slotted home from close range.

10 mins into 2nd half Kleo Malaj scored Celtic's second. Then with 10 mins remaining, Alvaro Moreno put a great ball in from the right and defender Joseph Dunne knocked it in for the third. 5 mins from end another defender Conor Lawless seal it with Celtic's fourth. This was a great start to the season with a clean sheet and for the most  part a hard fought win.
