Celtic gave up home advantage to play Sheriff Youths in this Cup game after Porterstown Park was declared unplayable. Conditions were very tricky in a windy Fairview Park, but despite no game in 10 weeks & playing a team from a higher division, this was a great win for Celtic. Great Imole set up Fabian for 1-0 with a superb free kick. It became 2-0 following typical tenacity from Scott Daly who finished clinically. The defence held firm, with Tom, Callum & Tristan putting in exceptional performances as always. Defensive midfielders, Will & Klevis, kept Sheriff at bay, allowing Scott to make breaks from the middle of the park. Sheriff finally made a breakthrough, beating Sabin in the Celtic goal. At 2-1, there was a danger that Sheriff would force extra time. But Klevis Malaj sealed the win when he struck home. There was a late consolation for Sheriff, but it didn't tarnish Sabin's performance in goal - his all round game making him a big star of the future.
