U13B VS DALKEY UTD
Today the lads travelled out to a very windy Glenageary to take on a very tough Dalkey side. Castleknock came out of the blocks quick and got a first goal straight from tip off when Hakim Maloui showed some great skill to get himself into a position to set up Oleg Sinkevics who struck right in to the back of the net. It didn’t take long for Dalkey to equalise against the run of play and they scored 2 goals in quick succession. Castleknock didn’t slow down after this and got a reward from a great team goal. Ethan Hoey made a good save and quickly sent it out to Patrick Buie on the right wing, he played a ball to Eoin Behan and gave an option again for the pass, Patrick then played the ball through to Oleg who scored his second without fail. Castleknock took the lead for a second time when Louis Vella sent the ball up and Hakim got on the end of it and slotting it in to the bottom corner. Dalkey reacted quickly again and pulled their lead back out of nowhere having it 4-3 at the break.
Second half saw one change bringing our one sub Alex Matthews on to centre back to add a bit of stability to the back four of Fred Mutawe, Cillian Dockry and Louis Vella who again had an outstanding game for us at the back. Castleknock got the next goal bringing it back to 4-4 when Patrick Buie finally got his reward after a long day of set up passes and just missing the target on a number of occasions. It appeared to be one of those days for Castleknock where nothing would go right. We had a number of chances but just couldn’t hit the target today. Dalkey were very lucky and got two goals on the break making it a 6-4 loss for Castleknock. In a game with constant pressure from the whole Castleknock team especially Ben Thomson, Zach Kinsella, Hakim Maloui, Patrick Buie, Mustafa Chalawi, Oleg Sinkevics and Eoin Behan who each took plenty of shots on goal and linking up really well together causing Dalkey lots of problems and they couldn’t stop us. Some shooting practice in training this week for the lads but this side is constantly growing and impressing with their football week in week out. Well done lads the score did not reflect the performance today.
