CC 2 Sheriff 1 ....... Great team performance from CC as they pick up the 3 points at home to a good and competitive Sheriff team. Two wonderful team goals before half time which were finished off by Alannah Maxwell and Sean Mc Clean gave CC the half time lead. In both cases the build up to the goal started at the back with some lovely one-two football along the way and some great finishing to find the net - emphasis on passing for Celtic is paying dividends.
Sheriff came out all guns blazing at start of second half and CC had to rely on some good defending to stay in front. Pressure told 10 minutes from the end when Sheriff pulled a goal back but CC were not to be denied and they held on for the points. Kids are on a great run of form at the moment and looking forward to Wayside away on Monday and the Cup Final next weekend . Special mention to Ryan Fitzmaurice who had a great game in goal and pulled off some very good saves to keep his team in front.
