After a delayed kick off Castleknock E got their season under way against St Joseph's.
This was the first competitive game for this new Castleknock team and they acquitted themselves well. They got off to a flier, two early goals from Ewan Kavanagh help to settle the team.
At half time Celtic added two more from Cian Hegarty to lead 4-2.
The second half started well with two further goals, Ewan completing a great hat trick and a long range volley from Jonah Courtney to lead by 6-2.
Castleknock were well in control but became a bit complacent allowing a spirited St Joseph's back into the game.
The lads lost their shape and incredibly the opposition scored five to win by 7-6.
This was a great lesson for Castleknock to learn . There were energetic performances from Conan feeney, Ben foley, Conor Roche and Evan maxwell
Jack, Joesph Dara and Max all contributed to an exciting opening game to the season.
The signs are good and these lads can be very proud of their efforts today
