DDSL 12B: Matt Przechadzki gave Celtic an early lead against Shankill in Porterstown. The vistors hit a beautiful equaliser to leave the sides level at the break. The tackles were fast and furious with neither side willing to give in.
After the break, Joao Pereira, who had done well in goal in the first half, put Celtic ahead with an opportunist finish. Traian Rebeggea struck a sweet penalty low to the keeper's right to give the hosts what looked a winning 3-1 margin. But there were nervous moments in the final minutes after Sean Odusole was sent to the line after what appeared to be a very harsh second yellow card that the lad didn't deserve after he had given 100 per cent - his response to the decision was admirable as he "took it on the chin". This was followed by a penalty for the visitors for a handball that looked terribly like "ball to hand". Shankill converted the spot kick for their second, but Celtic held on for a narrow victory that brought much applause from the line for the lads who had come through this tricky fixture against an unbeaten Shankill. Man of the match was Robert Best who was resolute throughout and very little got past him. 3-2
