Glasgow Celtic Soccer Academy welcomes another new Irish club into the
Celtic Family as part of their International Partnership programme.
Castleknock Celtic from Dublin are now the 18th Irish club to become a partner with
Celtic, which will see them benefit from activities such as team tour opportunities,
overseas coaching camps and access for Castleknock Celtic coaches to attend the
renowned Celtic International Coaches Convention.
The official announcement of the partnership was made on Monday, September 29 in
Castleknock at an event attended by over 200 people including, coaches, players,
parents and members of the Irish Government.
Castleknock Celtic is one of the largest clubs in Ireland and boasts an impressive
membership of over 1,000 people and their hard work and dedication within the
community was a major factor in the Celtic Soccer Academy choosing them as their
newest club partner.
Lisa Fallon, Director of Football at Castleknock Celtic said: “This partnership is an
exciting development in the history of Castleknock Celtic FC.
“Having already grown from a two-team club back in 1987 to approximately 1,000
members across 45 teams in 2014, this is another significant and progressive step for
us as a strong community club.
“We are very much looking forward to building a strong working relationship
between our two clubs over the coming years as we grow the Celtic Family.”
Celtic Soccer Academy Manager Willie McNab added: “We are delighted to add
Castleknock Celtic to our Club Partnership Programme and it again emphasises our
commitment to building our relationships in Ireland, which of course is a part of the
world hugely connected with Celtic’s very foundations.
“Castleknock Celtic is a very ambitious and progressive club and we are looking forward to a long and prosperous partnership with them.”
