These Celtic Cubs really are the “Jeckyl & Hyde” team of Castleknock Celtic. Three weeks ago we saw the Celts dazzle against Templeogue only to follow it up with arguably their poorest performance of the season last week against Knocklyon. Well today on St Valentines day they gave their Mums the best Valentines gift with a 5 Star performance against heartbroken Esker Celtic.
Ivan Hristov with a hat trick and a brace from the in form Ryan Sherlock secured the points. Coach Sherlock was quick to point out that perhaps the absence of Coach Hughes was the real reason for this magnificent performance. So the real question on everyone’s lips is “Should Hughesie be told to stay away????”. Jo Hughes, Coach Hughes’ better half, was the first to shout “YES, keep him away”.
Ivan and Ryano may have got the goals but it was a true team performance with all 9 players giving their all for each other and for their team. However this did not happen by accident as the Boys really have been upping the pace in training recently.
Well done Ben, Daniel, Evan, Gerard, Ivan, Luke, Ryan, Ryan and of course our keeper, Max. Have a great weekend and see you all on Monday at training.
