Castleknock 1 Clontarf 0... Big 3 points for Celtic in their pursuit of league leaders Drumcondra. In very difficult conditions for both sides this game became a battle of wills and it was obvious from early on that one goal would likely decide the outcome. The goal that decided the game came 4 minutes from the end following a straight forward tap in from Henry Owade, after the Clontarf keeper saved the initial shot from Kelvin.
Two outstanding saves from Saif Ijaz in the first half and Liam O Malley in the second half made all the difference to the eventual outcome of this game and ensured the win for CC. The weather combined with the pitch conditions made attractive football difficult but a tremendous display of determination allied to the will not to lose more that made up for that. Fantastic result kids, well done.
