Mixed fortunes for Celtic
Celtic had a rip-roaring 4-4 draw away to Huntstown Hartstown in their Division 2A local derby. Marksmen for Celtic were Aaron Nolan, an own goal, one from Robert Kelly and an Adam Noonan strike to equalise in the 92nd minute.
Meantime the Premier C went down 2-3 at home to Newlands Celtic in a topsy turvy game. Celtic led 1-0 after 4 minutes with a wonderful strike from John Byrne. Newlands were ahead by half time with 2 soft goals. They extended their lead to 3-1 as Celtic went within a whisker of scoring on a number of occasions while Dame Fortune smiled on the visitors. A late goal by Johnny Quinn gave the home side renewed hope, but despite Celtic's frantic search for the equaliser, it was too late as referee Pat McCabe blew the final whistle.
