Castleknock were rocked back by the concession of an early goal by Leicester in Porterstown. The home side struck back after 17 mins through Ciaran McGarry. They got their noses in front 3 mins later when Brian Dalton volleyed superbly from a corner, to give Castleknock a 2-1 lead at half time.
It was the turn of Michael Afuye just after 34 mins when he connected with a corner to half volley the ball to the back of the net. Kevin Long got the first of his brace on 41 mins after Eoin Akpiamo ran from box to box to set up the tall striker. Alan Elliott got on the scoresheet to make it 5-1. Eoin himself got on the scoresheet for the 6th with a thunder strike from 25 yards. Kevin got his second following Eoin's pass again, a goal that resembled his first. Castleknock were very much in the mood today and had the spectators salivating with the quality of the play.
