DDSL 10C1 SAT: Baptism of fire for these young Celts in their first ever 7-a-side match against a very strong well-prepared Verona side. Castleknock conceded an early goal from which they never recovered and went into the half-time break 7 adrift of our near neighbours. The half-time team talk resulted in a much-improved second-half performance but, deserted by lady luck, chances went a-begging and Verona bagged a few more to bring their tally into double figures.
