We are sorry to inform you of the death of our manager Russell Moore's father who passed away recently. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
"My Dad Ken, Alex & Erika Moore's Grandpa, was a regular visitor to Porterstown & Somerton whenever he came over to stay with my Mum, Maureen in the Castleknock Hotel. He loved watching the children play their sports, and rejoiced with them when they won individual & team recognition for their efforts. Even if he was at home in Southport, he knew of all the scores and kept up to the speed via the Team websites. He was delighted to see Alex pick up an Award at the MWC in June. As a football man, Camogie may have been out of his comfort zone, but he was thrilled when Erika won her Player of the Year Award all the same. Dad passed away peacefully no more than 3 miles from Anfield in Aintree University Hospital last Sunday. This was his own way of saying, like Alex, that they sympathise with my love of Burnley and watch for the results from Turf Moor every Saturday, but Dad, a proud Manxman, was also a Liverpool fan at heart. For all you did for us, always in our hearts, Thanks Dad.
Russell Moore, U13B."
