Celtic's second home game this season saw them up against St Itas who had been promoted last season. Celtic started well and quickly got into their passing game and within the first 15 minutes were two goals up, through Conor Troy and Conor Sweeney. After that St Itas raised their game and Celtic turned off. In this period St Ita's scored. 2-1.
Step up Jack Daly who had replaced Ben Cole. He hit a cracker of a volley low into the net with 15 minutes to half time. 3-1. Michael Chiele made it 4-1 with a coolly slotted goal inside the box. Half time saw a few changes but it was Ita's who started the quicker. They took advantage of a gap in the Celtic defence and their No. 7 drove it low into the corner of the net.
Celtic reasserted their dominance. Two quick goals from Michael Chiele, with assists from Yasko and Conor Troy, saw Celtic ease to a comfortable win. The lads will definitely meet a different Ita's in the away game as they were missing 4 of their strongest players due to registration issues. To summarise 3 points gained without being really tested.
