CASTLEKNOCK CELTIC – 6 LANDEN UTD - 3
Excellent 6-3 home victory v Landen United, allows us to string two wins in a row.
After a week of training sessions trying to improve some aspects of the play and under a bright sunshine morning, Castleknock Celtic won their second match in this U13-C league.
Angel was in goals, Liam, Max, Anthony and Matthew in defence, Conor, Mateusz, David and Hugo in midfield, and Sean and Jake up front.
In the early stages of the game, Celtic took control of the football allowing us to get ahead on the score with two brilliant goals by Jake demonstrating his running and finishing skills.
The second half was confortable for Celtic and Ben, Daniel and Callum came on to the pitch giving fresh legs to the team and taking control of the game until the end of the match.
Solid defence from all the team with Anthony leading the assault, excellent saves from Angel, it was an all-round impressive performance. Every week the team is improving, taking control of the game in the midfield with more accurate passes and changes of direction.
Congratulations to the whole team for the good work done and good movements made across the pitch.
