James Yaskersky put Celtic ahead on the half hour away to Skerries. The margin should have been much greater but wasteful shooting by the visitors ensured that Skerries were still in it at the break.

Celtic surrendered their lead 15 minutes into the second half when they conceded an unnecessary free kick which was despatched to the net by David Andrews. Excellent goal-keeping by the Skerries and Celtic's keepers, Stephen Shortt and Tommy Stevens, ensured that the sides finished level at 1-1.
