Former SKB player and current Irish Junior International Conor Dillon has been signed by Northern Ireland Premiership side Glenavon FC.
Dillon is a classy defender who was also hugely impressive in Ireland’s victorious Quadrangular Tournament campaign and his performances have earned him a move into the semi-professional ranks with current Irish Cup champions Glenavon.
The 24 year old is expected to make his debut against Crumlin United on Tuesday night in the first of Glenavon’s pre-season games. If he impresses he could be in line to play in the Europa League after the Glenavon were drawn away to FH Hafnarfjördur of Iceland, with the first leg to be played on the 3rd of July.
Glenavon manager Gary Hamilton remarked “He’s strong in the air and has pace which we were lacking in the defence last season.”
