Celtic travelled to Howth to take on Howth Celtic in Celtic Park. Playing up the hill and against a strong breeze, Castleknock put in a brilliant first half performance, winning numerous corners and putting extreme pressure on the Howth keeper. They were battling for every ball and by the end of the half they had got their noses in front with an Evan Hardy goal 5 minutes before the break.
In the second half, Celtic passed the ball with flair and created numerous scoring opportunities. They failed however to convert these chances until Ahmad Omballi's 2 strikes gave Celtic a more comfortable margin for the final minutes. 3-1
A late howth consolation goal did nothing to dampening the spirits of the boys who got a marvellous away win and got back to top of the table.
