NDSL 18Premier Cup:
“Hat Trick man Power sets his side up for record win”
Castleknock Celtic 9, Willows FC 1
Willows FC from the U18A division were the opponents as the U18 Premier squad returned to NDSL competition after a break that stretched back to last October.
Celtic didn’t allow the lack of competitive football distract them from the task in hand and were ahead within 10 minutes. The game continued in a similar manner and thanks to a first half hat trick from Cory Power as wells as goals from Daniel Ferreira and Aidan Sampson, Celtic led 5 – 0 at half time.
For many teams, 5-0 would be enough, but not for this Celtic team. Additional scores from Daniel Ferreira, Darren Doyle (2) and Shay Kinsella (his first for Celtic) bought the final score to 9-0.
AUL PremB Cup: Late goal seals victory for East Wall Bessborough in Porterstown Park. 1-2
