Celtic U16 Premier team continued their winning run with a 3-1 win away to Sacred Heart FC.
Tallaght is always a tough place to look for 3 points but this Celtic team were well up for it and their pressure paid off after 15 minutes when Sean Hogan slotted a fine individual goal. The rest of the first half was a story of missed chances and it was the 60th minute before Jabari Crichlow latched on to a skilful pass from David Curran who cooly slotted home. Sacred heart kept up the pressure and played some nice football but the crunch blow was a fantastic cross from Shane on the left side straight to Sean Hogan in the box who took it down before finishing well.
The home team pulled one back with 15 minutes to go but Celtic played well enough to hold on to their lead for a well deserved win.
The Man of the match performance was from Sean Hogan and another fine display from keeper Stephen Mason, while Ben Traynor Jack Darcy and Matthew Leonard excelled in defence. Adam Russell and Sean Collins in midfield showed skill and courage. Injuries still plague this team, however they are doing a great job of late winning their last 3 league games.
Roll on next week.
