Celtic hosted Ardmore Rovers in Porterstown in this league encounter,the earlier league game had finished 3 0 to Ardmore so a Celtic knew this would be a good test of there progress to date..Celtic started really well and took the game to the away team with good spells of pressure and ball retention..Simon at the back was supporting the mid field players and the finding good possession on both sides of the pitch.Charlie in goal was his usual assured self .commanding his area and receiving from his defence when they needed an out ball,Ardmore did have an outstanding individual however,and went 1 up when he dribbled by a couple of Celtic players before finishing in top corner.1 0 Ardmore,Celtic kept playing composed football and deservedly levelled just before half time,Owen B slotting home after good work by Ross on the flank..The second half continued in the same vein,Celtic playing nice football but Ardmore were always dangerous on the counter,it was from one of these breaks the away team regained the lead,a fantastic goal scored again by there star man,taking the ball down with his right foot before lifting it over the keeper with his left from 20 yards, 2 1 Ardmore,Celtic went back on the attack,Danny was unlucky not to score.finding good positions and getting his shots away,Chesney was working hard in midfield,but Ardmores main man broke away again and slotted home after another mazey run...3 1 Ardmore..this scoreline really did not reflect the game,as Celtic were playing really well and if you keep trying to play the right way you usually get your rewards..Celtic pulled one back with 15 mins to go,Owen again on the scoresheet,volleying home from 10 yards.Celtic 2 Ardmore 3..and the equalizer came from Declan ,,a great finish into the top of the net after good play by Simon.. 3 3 and into the last 5 mins,,Celtic were not finished yet though,and the winner came 2 mins from the end and what a goal it was.Simon collecting the ball on the half way line before driving at the away teams defence,brushing aside 2 challenges before firing home an unstoppable shot in the bottom corner to complete a brilliant comeback..this was a fantastic game of football and all the Celtic players deserve great credit for there never say die attitude and there excellent play..well done all and see you after Easter..
