Castleknock Celtic welcome back Coaches Club with a bang
Castleknock held another Coaches Club Session for its Managers & Coaches in Porterstown on Saturday last. The Coaches Club is now into its third season and Saturday's session was most enjoyable when 30 of the Club's Coaches were treated to a session from UEFA A Coach Tommy Byrne with the Clubs U12’s providing the legs for the outdoor session. The second part of the day saw the Club's own Antonio Mantero of The Coach Diary fame make a presentation outlining the role of the Coach in the Modern game. In keeping with the Club's ethos of helping Players “to be the Best you can be”, strong emphasis was placed on the need for Coaches to be up to date and educated in best practice.
At the end of the session the Club welcomed Mick Daly and James Farrelly of Anatomic Fitness to Castleknock Celtic. Anatomic Fitness have just opened a new Fitness Centre in Portersown. Mick, who is an ex Castleknock Celtic player himself developed his skills at Manchester City playing with the likes of Daniel Sturridge before returning to Ireland and helping Drogheda United to the FAI Cup final. Mick took time out to speak to the Club's Coaches and stressed the important role of Body conditioning, fitness and an appropriate diet in today's world. He stressed that the benefits of maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle can be seen at every level of sport and spoke passionately about the role that structured training and conditioning had in changing his own sports career.
Club Secretary, Tony Jordan, formally welcomed Anatomic Fitness to Castleknock Celtic and commented that as a community club that Anatomic Fitness is available to the general public. You can contact Mick & James of Anatomic on 085-7593029 and they will advise you on the range of individual and team options available.
As they say you can't keep a good Club down. Well done Castleknock
