A first half brace by James Daly in this game at home to Jobstown. James set his team on their way to the top of the table. It was not all one-way traffic as Jobstown made Celtic keeper Conor McShane earn his crust and he had to make one fine stop from a fiercely struck shot. Jobstown managed to pull one back before the break which set the second half up nicely for any uncommitted supporters in the park.
James Daly continued where he left off after the break. He doubled his score to put the home side 4-1 in front. Jobstown did make it 4-2 but it was left to Harry Whelan to score the best of the goals. He turned cleverly to beat the full back before slotting home to give Celtic a final scoreline of 5-2. Man of the match was Reuben Cahill who put in a superb display at centre mid-field. Sean Harding is a contender for player of the season for his consistently high standard and today was no exception.
Celtic are top of the tree as the league enters its final phase, with Celtic having 4 games to play, including a game against second placed Ballybrack which could become a title decider.
