Celtic traveled across the city to take on St Joseph's Sallynoggin. Celtic were looking to get something out the game as Joeys had beaten them in Porterstown earlier in the season. Celtic started the game well and were on the front foot from the off. The first goal arrived midway through the first half when Cormac Downes picked the ball up just inside Joey's half and took the ball past the back four and put a shot into the keepers bottom left hand corner to put Celtic one up. Joeys equalised a couple of minutes later as Celtic's back four allowed the ball over their heads for the Joeys center forward to put it away. Straight from the tip-off, a good move involving Conor Rice, Conor Donoghue and Gabbi Aginitha resulted in a good cross from Gabbi which the Joey's center half handled. The resulting penalty was scored by Evin Lawlor, Celtic's own Phil Neal. Joeys equalised five minutes before the break following a mix up in the Celtic box following a corner. Celtic stuck at it and went ahead just on the stroke of half time following a corner by Conor Donoghue that was back-headed into the goal by Gabbi. Half time 3-2 Celtic.
The second half started with both teams looking to get the next goal. It was Celtic who got it midway through the second half, Cormac netted following good work by Gabbi and Ciaran Daniels. Joeys threw everything at Celtic for the rest of the game. Celtic stood firm and held on for a well deserved 4-2 victory.
