Six players bow out in Round 8 with Leicester (4) and Everton (2) failing to win home games against West Ham and Southampton respectively.
That leaves only 2 players remaining thanks to AFC Bournemouth's 1-0 home win over Swansea.
Both players agreed to share the prize rather than risk losing it all in the last round, so congratulations go to ORLAITH HIGGINS and TONY JORDAN who pocket €175 each.

Three more players bow out in Round 7 with Liverpool (1) & Newcastle (2) failing to win home games against Stoke & West Brom respectively. That leaves 8 players, Chelsea (3), Everton (1) & Tottenham (4) still in with just 2 more rounds of fixtures remaining.

Only 2 players eliminated in Round 6, both due to Watford's scoreless draw at home to Crystal Palace.
That leaves 11 players, Arsenal (4), Everton (2) & Man City (5) battling on for the €350 prize with just 3 rounds to go before the end of the season.

With Huddersfield losing at home to a rare Crystal Palace away win, a comfortable win for Liverpool at home to Watford and a great comeback by AFC Bournemouth at home to West Brom brings Competition 4 down to its final 2 players.
As on previous occasions, rather than risk losing it all, both remaining players have agreed to share the prize.
So it's Congratulations to PETER HOEY & SHAUN NAUGHTON who pocket €210 each.

Competition 5 brought in a total of 59 players giving us a prize of €350 in this last competition of the season
Wins for Arsenal (9), Chelsea (13), Everton (2), Leicester (3), Man City (24), Man Utd (1), Newcastle (2) and Tottenham (4) see all but 1 of the 59 entrants safely through to Round 2. Huddersfield's 0-0 draw at home to Swansea provided the only elimination.

Tough choices with most of the 'big' teams also used but 3 players make it through to Round 8 with wins for Liverpool, Tottenham & Watford. Southampton's home scoreless draw against Stoke spells the end of the road for the other 2 players.

Leicester's home draw against Stoke spells the end of the road for 2 more players, while Liverpool's comfortable win over West Ham and Harry Kane's late late winner for Tottenham away to Crystal Palace keep the remaining 5 players in the competition.

Leicester's win over Watford coupled with Everton & West Ham home draws against West Brom & AFC Bournemouth respectively, leaves just 2 men standing in Comp 3.

It was a short run for 21 of those players (12 Chelsea, 6 Newcastle, 2 Arsenal, 1 Huddersfield) leaving 49 safely through to Round 2 (32 Man Utd, 12 Spurs, 4 Palace, 1 West Ham).

We lose another 7 players in Round 7 (3 Watford, 2 Arsenal, 1 Everton, 1 Newcastle) leaving only 5 (3 Chelsea, 2 Liverpool) through to Round 8.
Round 8 wins for Leicester (3), Man Utd (1) and West Ham (1) see all 5 progress to Round 9.
Last Man Standing 17/18 ~ Competition 3 Rounds 5 & 6
We lose 8 players in Round 5 (3 West Ham, 2 Crystal Palace, 2 Southampton and 1 Man Utd), leaving 12 players through to Round 6 (11 Man City and 1 Stoke).
No eliminations in Round 6 thanks to wins for Liverpool (10), Chelsea (1) and Tottenham (1) means these 12 are now through to Round 7.

Only 3 players fall in Round 4 as Leicester unexpectedly lose at home to Crystal Palace.
This leaves 20 players through to the busy Christmas & New Year period thanks to wins for Arsenal (13), Chelsea (3), Everton (2) and Liverpool & Man Utd (1 each).
Last Man Standing 17/18 ~ Competition 2 Rounds 11/12 + Competition 3 Rounds 2/3
In competition 2, 2 of the remaining 4 players were eliminated in Round 11 when Crystal Palace failed to win their weekend home game against AFC Bournemouth. That left 2 players through to Round 12 hoping NEWCASTLE (home to Everton) and SOUTHAMPTON (home to Leicester) would win them the prize. But it was not to be as both teams were beaten on Wednesday night. So, according to Rule 9, they share the prize.
Congratulations to PAT GITTENS and DECLAN O'FARRELL who win €225 each.

Competition 3 saw 36 departures in Round 2, including 9 who were assigned AFC Bournemouth as per Rule 7. The others were Chelsea (11), Arsenal & Liverpool (6 each), Crystal Palace (3) and Newcastle (1).
Round 3 saw 20 more exits, all banking on a Liverpool home win over West Brom which was not to be.
That's a total of 56 players eliminated in these two rounds, leaving 23 still standing.

Competition 2 is now down to the final 4 players thanks to wins for Chelsea, Everton and Leicester, with the only elimination down to Southampton's draw away to AFC Bournemouth.

Competition 3 brought in a total of 81 players and it was almost a perfect start with wins for Chelsea (29), Everton (13), Leicester (1), Liverpool (3), Man City (26) and Stoke (6).
The only 2 players eliminated at the first attempt were let down by draws for Crystal Palace and Tottenham, leaving 79 through to Round 2 to play on for a prize of €460.

The big winners in Round 4 were Chelsea, accounting for 17 of the 31 players still standing.
The other 14 winners were Newcastle (6), Man City (5), AFC Bournemouth (2 - both by default per Rule 7) and Leicester (1).
Only 5 players were eliminated with 4 on Man Utd and the other on Stoke.

Crystal Palace's unexpected first win of the season, against Chelsea, and Swansea's win over Huddersfield brings our first competition of the season to an end.

Only 2 teams were chosen by the 4 remaining players in Round 7 of Competition 1 and Everton's defeat at home to Burnley means we say farewell to two of them.
So, thanks to Diafra Sakho's 90th minute winner for West Ham (at home to Swansea), there are now only 2 players left in this competition.
Will we get a winner in Round 8? We'll have to wait until after the international break to find out.

The 2017/18 Last Man Standing season opens with 96 players in competition 1, making this the 2nd highest entry ever!
A total of 51 players exit the competition in the 1st round (35 Chelsea, 5 Crystal Palace, 7 Liverpool & 4 Southampton).
This leaves 45 players (6 Arsenal, 10 Everton, 15 Man City, 10 Man Utd, 3 Tottenham and 1 West Brom) going forward into Round 2 with a chance of winning a €560 prize..
