After very hard-fought 1-0 home win, this return fixture was always going to be tough. CCFC under pressure straight away from big strong GW. 15mins in some, strong tackling saw Costel Burlacu power into the GW box where he was hacked down. Joseph Dunne stepped up to whack home the resultant penalty. Ahmed Niazi, Conor Lawless and some fine goalkeeping by Rei mulligan, kept a 1st half clean sheet with Pedro Minero, Ren Mulligan & Ruben Ahern battling in midfield.
2nd half saw Dylan & Daniel Ibitoye, along with Frankie Donnelly, stopping the growing GW midfield threat. Kleo Malaj was assisting Alvaro Minero & James Bannerman in the middle, and it was James who went very close with a number of shots but the GW side got their just reward with their equaliser 4 mins from the end. Well deserved draw on the day.
